Introducing a puppy or adopting a rescue dog into your family is a wonderful way to show your love and kindness. However, caring for a sensitive dog can come with unexpected challenges. One of these challenges is dealing with the public, particularly dog owners who may not understand or empathise with your situation, which could lead to negative reactions towards you or your dog. It's important to remember that we can't know or change these people's backgrounds or how they perceive things. With this in mind, I've created a workshop aimed at helping you embrace the responsibilities of being a guardian to a sensitive dog. A key part of the struggle is feeling helpless during these encounters. In this workshop, you'll learn how to feel calm and confident in the situation in the moment and feel empowered by your decision to bring a dog into your family. We will explore the importance of your role as a guardian, your responsibilities in caring for and protecting your dog, and how to develop a confident, empathetic, and empowered version of yourself. We'll also address any negative thoughts that might hinder your outdoor activities with your dog. You'll regain trust in your instincts and decision-making, feeling worthy of the space you and your dog share. By the end of the three-hour interactive workshop, which will include storytelling to share inspiring experiences, you'll be well-equipped as a guardian of a sensitive soul. While the sensitive souls programme brought us together initially, you’ll discover that the strategies and tools we explore can be applied in every area of life, whether at home or in the workplace. This comprehensive approach to shifting mindset will help you realise that while nothing may have changed outside of you, everything feels different, leading to increased confidence and opportunities. Owners are asked not to bring their dogs to this session.
